    Friendsgiving 2019

Last week, we partnered with Toast on the Town to host a pop-up Friendsgiving dinner for Moffitt Cancer Center's young adult patients who would be stuck in treatment over the holidays. Chef Michael of Cena in Tampa was our lead chef of the night, along with his amazing team. One of his sous-chefs, unbeknownst to me, had just beat cancer as a young adult the month prior and this dinner was the first time he's worked since his diagnosis.   Read More...

    The Most Important Message

Taylor Swift's mom has been in a cancer battle for a little while now. On her last album, Taylor wrote her mom a song called "Soon You'll Get Better", and it's a tear-jerker. More importantly, she calls out a very cultural view of an actual Biblical Truth that this video below will go deeper into.   Read More...

    Sticks and Stones

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me My mom said it to me plenty of times as a kid, as many parents, teachers, and any adult who has tried to resolve “petty” drama between prepubescent children has as well. It's a common phrase that has been uttered for almost 200 years.Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt meI am calling bull on that. Words are powerful.   Read More...

    In the Waiting

One of the joys of survivor life is annual CT/PT scans... feel the sarcasm. I get my scans done every September, and every September, I feel like I'm just scheduling an appointment to catch up with the weird dude who runs the radiology department and my favorite oncologist, Dr.   Read More...

I Think We Should Break Up

Ever had someone refer to a past relationship as "toxic", if so this is the same thing just when it comes to the products in your home. It is one of those things that we all know we should probably do, but it is easier to reach for your trusty tried ...  Read More...
