Welcome to the New Blog Space!

Hey, Madison here! Welcome to our new space!

As you know, Spark the Way exists to serve young adults (ages 18-39) affected by cancer- the fighters, survivors, and caregivers. Even though there are 72,000 of us that end up diagnosed with the disease every single year, the lack of support is real. Did you know we are the only young adult cancer organization in the state of Florida?! Though we are a Tampa-based nonprofit, we offer mentorship, financial aid, and online support across the globe. This crazy awesome blog is my personal favorite avenue of online support.

Our new blog space not only received a face lift, but a few new additions to the team. I'm super pumped for you to check out Alexis, Christy, and Nicole's stories and passions as we introduce you to them this week. This blog is officially a four-part deal including topics on health, nutrition, authentic life, and young adult cancer.

Our mission with creating this blog space for you is that every time you open up a post, you are encouraged, empowered, and equipped to keep on with the fighting, thriving, or caregiving you have been entrusted by our awesome God to do. Let this space and these words create a sense of vulnerability and openness in you that invites us or your community to do life with you, all the while being reminded that the greatest source you could tap into is Jesus- the only source that outshines any bit of darkness in your life.

"In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

 John 1:4-5

Life may be great, or life may suck. You may be reading this with the weight of a cancer diagnosis on your shoulders, or maybe you're reading this in the prime of you life. Either way, life wasn't created for you to do alone and we're bargin' in!

It's a "we" thing.
